In order for the search engines to collect content from the websites residing all over the internet they must send spiders to collect data from websites. But what are those spiders?
Search Engines spiders are software designed to read content on websites pages and then tirelessly continue their journey by following links from one page to another.
2- Indexing
Indexing is the process of reading a web page and extracting the content into a database. If a page is not in a search engine’s index, it cannot be shown for an organic search query. So if your website is not indexable for any technical reason or what so ever, you will never rank on search engines results page.
3- Ranking
The final and most important component, it is the technology used to determine which page on the web is most relevant to any given search term. Search engines follow a set of rules to rank websites and/or pages.
So the question now is how to get high ranks for your targeted keywords?
This can be done by “Spoon feeding” content to search engine. And by content I mean relative content.
But Why do you have to “Spoon Feed” search engines relative content?
Because Search Engines aren’t sophisticated as you may think, It isn’t that they are dumb. But they are like little children who need information to be presented to them in a way they understand.
Take this as an example. Maybe you go write an article about how Egyptians loves soccer, and you can use all the smart metaphors you have in your arsenal. But if you didn’t use some of the most relevant and obvious keywords in your article like zamalek, ahly, ismaily, abo treika, barakat search engines may find it hard to rank your article for relevant searches.
But Search Engines MAY Not understand that you’re writing about Zamalek football club in Egypt if you don’t use words like “football, club, shikabala” in certain locations and frequencies your article may not rank well if someone is searching for Zamalek football club.
As an SEO or Editor you must maintain balance between spoon feeding search engines and writing engaging content for your audience at the same time.
So How to maintain that balance?
To achieve that balance you must include in your copy with some density the keywords people search for on search engines or deem relative to your content.
